The New Normal

Allowing you back in!

In light of the latest government update (23-9-20), here is what you need to know:

We will be open for drink-ins:

Wednesday 4pm - 8pm

Thursday 4pm - 9.30pm

Friday 4pm - 9.30pm

Saturday 12pm - 8pm

Sunday 2pm - 6pm

We have capacity for approximately 12 people with 4 tables.

To ensure a seat during any of these sessions, please email putting BOOKING as the subject line. Include your name, number of people, the date and time you would like and a contact phone number. We will confirm whether this is available as soon as we can. If you are passing, and we have space, you can have a walk in seat.

  • According to the current requirements for Track and Trace, we will keep your details for 21 days before destroying them.

  • We will take your temperature on entry - this is contact free - and you will be refused entry if this shows signs of fever.

  • You will be required to remain seated, unless visiting the toilet.

  • You will need to wear your face-covering when moving to/from the toilet and on entry before you sit down. If you are unable to wear a face-covering, please let us know.

  • Please remember, that the maximum group size is 6.

For full details of the changes we have made, click here.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Contactless deliveries will continue to take place on Wednesday. These now go up to a 10 mile radius of the store. Orders under £30 will incur a £2.50 delivery charge. Orders should be placed via text.

We are also continuing to open as a bottle shop from 2pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday. If we have space, and you would like to drink-in while you wait, you may do so. Otherwise, you can place your order at the door and we will pick and pack it for you. If we are busy, or it is  a large order, you may be asked to return in a few minutes to avoid queuing. We would ask that while waiting, you observe the social distancing guidelines and are respectful of others. You are also welcome to purchase take-away beers during our drink-in hours.

Email enquiries will be dealt with daily.

We thank you for your understanding at this difficult time and for your continued support.

Welcome to The Apothecary Tap

About Us

The Apothecary Tap is Banbury's only specialist craft beer bar and bottle shop.
Opened in April 2019, it is run by husband and wife team Rob and Karen. We specialise in small batch craft beers from independent brewers, both local and from around the globe, including a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free beers.
The Apothecary Tap grew out of our passion for craft beer and the desire to bring this to Banbury.
