About the event
JODY & THE JERMS formed as a sextet in 2020 in St Clements, Oxford and very quickly started to fashion their own brand of melodic and uplifting indie pop through their live shows, taking much inspiration from the likes of Blondie and Kirsty MacColl. And they didn’t hang around much in releasing songs, having already notched up three full albums in Deeper (2020), Flicker (2022), and Fonder (2023), with their fourth now scheduled for summer 2025.
The band comprises Jody Jeger on vocals, Salma Craig on guitar and backing vocals, Niall Jeger on guitars, Rob Timms on keyboards, Sam Hutchinson on bass and Steve Clark on drums and backing vocals. Having already been championed by the likes of the late Janice Long, and having their previous album produced by Ride frontman Mark Gardener, the band are clearly on an upward trajectory.
