About Us
The Apothecary Tap is Banbury's only specialist craft beer bar and bottle shop, music and comedy venue.
Opened in April 2019, it is run by husband and wife team Rob and Karen. We specialise in small batch craft beers from independent brewers, both local and from around the globe, including a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free beers.
The Apothecary Tap grew out of our passion for craft beer and the desire to bring this to Banbury.
As well as bringing you the best independent breweries, we also stock cider and spirits from similar small-batch, independents, and we also now have a full wine list.

Our next planned closure is Saturday 26th April as we are off to the Stagecraft beer festival - all in the name of research!
Dogs are welcome, as are children (until 7pm), although we request that children are never unattended in the bar area.

What we do
Currently we have 12 keg lines of carefully selected, ever changing beers and ciders, alongside at least 2 box ciders and a variety of cans and bottles to drink in or takeaway.
We will be more than happy to help you select your beers and provide useful information about the breweries themselves.
We also stock soft drinks, alcohol-free choices, spirits and wine from, where possible, independent producers.
The Apothecary Tap is proud to be the home of Atic Comedy and to work in collaboration with Strummer Room Records for our original live music events.
